Sects, Destructive Cults and Commercial Manipulation

The course addresses questionable religiosity and identifies and analyses pseudoreligious phenomena in the environments of the market, politics, sports and mass entertainment.
The topics discussed are set within the context of the so called new religiosity.
Seminars will give students an opportunity to present selected relevant topics related to the course and discuss them with the teacher and the students in the group.
