The art of film has become a new and indispensable phenomenon brought about by the 20th century. The combination of the projected images, music and words began to facilitate the effective reach of far more people than was ever imagined. Film, therefore, began to be used by political ideologies for their own presentation and as a means of manipulation and intimidation. The aim of the course is to acquaint students with the phenomenon of political propaganda film as a tool to reach the masses. At the same time disseminating this information to various forms of manipulation in these films is emerging and it confronts them with their own ethical thinking and feeling.
The course is based on the work of contemporary propaganda film.

Syllabus of the course: 1) Political propaganda in film – introduction to the topic. 2) Political propaganda in film – as a tool of totalitarianism. 3) Propaganda national – socialist film and its specifics. 4) Propaganda “Multinational – socialist” film and its specifics. 5) America and propaganda – see elsewhere. 6) An animated film in the service of propaganda. 7) Political propaganda in a feature film. 8) A documentary film and its language in light of the political trial process. 9) “Education” as the central theme of propaganda film 10) The formation of a distorted picture of history through film propaganda. 11) Artists and thinkers in the service of ideology.
