Greetings from Korea II

We are sending greetings to our teachers and to students from Korea.
Since September, we have been studying at Hanshin University in South Korea. We would like to share our feelings and countless experiences with you. Time flies here at the speed of light, so hardly can we spend any time to look back.
We have been here for three months already, and we have got such a lot of experiences that we just do not know where to start. Although the beginning of our stay was quite tough (we were not able to say any single word in Korean), we immediately fell in love with Korean culture. We have made friends with a lot of Koreans and other foreigners. Thanks to our excellent and witty Korean teacher, we have managed to acquire fundamentals of the uneasy Korean language much faster than we expected.
First of all, we would like to mention the splendour of the university campus. Neither of us has ever visited an American-style campus before. And that is something really amazing! The campus of Hanshin University is slightly smaller than the campuses of other universities, yet we got lost several times during the first week.
Since we have a lot of free time during the week (Thursdays and weekends), we make various explorations every week not only in the surrounding area, but also in wild Seoul. We still have not managed to find our way at the first try because Seoul is unbelievably enormous (the centre of Prague is really golden!). However, smiling or laughing, we have always managed to eventually reach our planned destinations even though our legs were rather painful.
Korea is a really unique country. It is so varied and yet so the same that it is worth experiencing it for yourself and becoming a part of it for a while at least.
Our stay is relentlessly coming to its end, which makes us really sad. One university term is not long enough if you want to manage to carry out all activities planned at the beginning of your stay. And that is why we will come back one day; we are sure about it.
In the photos you will see some shots from the university campus, including a beautiful hinterland for students in the university library. We are also sending some pictures from our trips.
