During my four months in Taiwan, I had many experiences that are hard to put into words. I learned the basics of traditional Mandarin Chinese, made lots of new friends from all over the world, and, most importantly, stepped out of my comfort zone and learned something new about myself.
The professors’ friendliness toward international students really helped me while traveling, which is why I was able to visit most of the well-known sights as well as some hidden gems and get a feel for the daily life of Taiwanese people.During my stay in Taiwan, I flew to Okinawa, Japan, for a week over the Easter break. Here are a few photos from that trip.
Erasmus+ in Europe is great, but I have to say that staying in a culturally different environment is a completely different experience that gives you many new perspectives and a different kind of experience.
Have a wonderful summer!
Kristýna
