Lecture on Clifford Geertz by Dr. Matteo Bortolini

On November 20th, a lecture was held dedicated to one of the most important figures in 20th century cultural anthropology – Clifford Geertz (1926-2006), who became famous for his fieldwork in Indonesia and Morocco and the theoretical approach of symbolic anthropology. The lecture entitled The Effective Look of Things. The Works and the Lives of Clifford Geertz was given by Dr. Matteo Bortolini, who is currently working on a biography of Geertz.
