While the centers of culture are crumbling and weakening, exceptionally interesting initiatives are taking place on the margins, in previously unseen segments of society. These are precisely the areas mapped by Aleš Palán’s books and projects, which are among the most widely read titles in our country and for which the author has twice won the prestigious Magnesia Litera award. Similarly, curator, poet, performer and musician Jaromír Typlt, in his projects within the Art Brut Prague gallery and the Studio of Joyful Creation, reveals the very sources of inspiration and creativity that can withstand even the highest levels of contemporary artistic activity.
