The course introduces into the subject matter of law and brings to the attention of the students its fundamental types e.g.: Criminal Law, Civil Law, Church Law etc. Law is presented here as a dynamic process whose function is closely linked to culture and whose structure may vary significantly. Law is perceived within the present subject as an instrument of social control.

The aim of the course is to bring to the attention of the students fundamental concepts and issues of the given subject.
