Tree planting on the Polish-Czech border

The highlight of the workshop was planting trees at the border between the Czech Republic and Poland, specifically at the border crossing Studená voda – Radków. The original intention was to plant trees at the border crossing Otovice – Tlumaczów, but this section was unsuitable due to the terrain. The trees planted at the crossing Studena voda – Radków symbolize Czech-Polish cooperation. Hopefully the trees will signify not only shovelling and picking together, but also building a partnership between the University of Opole and the University of Hradec Králové. Thanks also go to Daniel Hecek from Martínkovice and Eva Dittrichová from Božanov, who helped us significantly not only logistically (by bringing the trees and preparing the planting), but also with advice during the event itself.
