Metoděj Habáň OP (1899–1984) was one of the important personalities of the Czech Dominican Order in last century. The book traces his life destinies from the moment of his joining the Order, through his involvement in the Dominican “intellectual apostolate” in the interwar period to his struggle with the communist regime in the second half of his life. The book presents Metoděj Habáň´s work for the Order and for the public, especially his work as a spiritual teacher for numerous Czech Dominicans and university students, and it also presents his participation in numerous philosophical and theological discussions, which went through his entire life.
